Privacy Policy

Draft for review. This policy will be finalized before the site launches.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This policy explains what information calphillipsthrillers.com (the "site") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The site is run by David Taylor, author of the Cal Phillips thrillers.

What I collect

  • Email list signups: your first name and email address when you sign up for the free Prologue or the Damocles' Day launch list.
  • Contact form messages: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
  • Basic technical data: the hosting provider may automatically log standard information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

How I use it

  • To send you the free Prologue of In 2 Deep and occasional emails about the Cal Phillips books, such as new releases, cover reveals, and launch news.
  • To reply to messages you send through the contact form.

I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Service providers

I use trusted third-party services to run the site and the email list. They process your information only to provide their service:

  • Netlify hosts the site and may receive form submissions.
  • MailerLite manages the email list and sends the emails.

Links to Amazon take you to Amazon's website, which has its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded signup forms from the email provider may set cookies needed for them to work.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you by getting in touch through the contact page.

How long I keep it

I keep your email address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your information, I'll remove it or keep only what's needed to honor your request.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
